KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:  The job market is more competitive today than ever.  Companies have the ability in this job market to be picky and selective about the person they are going to hire for a position.  It used to be, not so very long ago, that a candidate who had a certain set of skills and abilities would be a surefire hire for a company. The companies were growing and needed to add personnel.  That is no longer the case. Companies have tons of people applying for jobs that have all the skills and abilities they could ever want and need, but they have very few positions in which to place them.  Now it is all about what the candidate has accomplished in their last couple of positions.  Key Accomplishments should be listed somewhere on your resume and should only include accomplishments achieved in the last five years.  THE AWFUL TRUTH is, there are only three things companies really care about when considering a candidate; Is this person going to make us money, save us money or improve an existing process or procedure?

Gear your accomplishments around these three things and you should see great response to your resume.
